2 Dhaka Central Jail inmates die Staff Correspondent Two detainees of Dhaka Central Jail died 'from illness' yesterday.
Sultan Uddin, 40, and Yaruddin Sardar, 35, were declared dead after they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) from the jail.
A jail guard took Sultan to the DMCH at around 5:30am while Yaruddin was taken to the hospital at about 11:00am. Both were suffering from diseases, jail sources said.
DMCH sources said Sultan's body had a bandage for skin disease, but bore no marks of torture. None had come to receive the bodies.
Autopsies on the bodies will be performed today.
